One of the best ways to relieve muscle soreness from working out is to work out again.
Counterintuitive, but true! A study published in the Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research had 20 women do shoulder exercises to the point of soreness. Two days later, they got a 10-minute massage on one shoulder and did 10 minutes of exercise using the other—and found that both shoulders were less sore afterwards.
