Suja Organic Juices Review/Giveaway

hi-res cleanse
Suja Organic Juices are all the rage right now. So, I decided to jump on the bandwagon, and see for myself what all the fuss was about. Well, I can honestly say I absolutely love Suja Organic Juices! I have always been a fan of juicing but it is so time consuming, and cleaning the juicer is a nightmare. Suja juices are so convenient and makes it so easy to get all those vital nutrients into your body.  Most of Suja‘s juices are on the sweeter side, making them a good choice for anyone new to juicing. Although all the juices were really enjoyable, the Vanilla Cloud Coconut-Almond Milk absolutely blew me away! I like that the nutrition facts for each drink are printed right on the side of the bottle.  Most importantly, I’m impressed with Suja‘s commitment to using 100% organic produce. These juices are such a time saver, making them a convenient grab and go option for busy moms.

The Story Behind Suja
“Suja was created by founders Eric Ethans and Annie Lawless from a passion to help people transform their lives through nutrition. As a child, Eric grew organic gardens and developed a fascination with the way seeds became living, delicious plants. He saw the connection between the life force in the plants and the life force in the human body and discovered juicing as the easiest, most pure way to assimilate these incredible nutrients. As a raw food chef, he has helped others optimize their nutrition with raw, organic foods. Co-founder Annie Lawless developed a passion for health and nutrition as a teenager after years of dealing with food sensitivities and an autoimmune skin disease. She saw her health vastly improve and symptoms disappear when she began juicing and following a modified organic diet.”

“Suja prides themselves on making extremely delicious and nutritious cold-pressed juice. Cold-pressing, as opposed to centrifugal juicing, which can draw in air and produce friction heat and static electricity, prevents oxidation and helps keep the nutrients and enzymes intact. Pressing also yields a higher amount of juice and results in a cleaner crisper taste. The resulting product is a raw juice that is highly enzyme and nutrient dense. After pressing, Suja’s cold-pressed juice is HPP’d. This stands for High Hydrostatic Pressure, which is done instead of flash pasteurization. The juice is placed in an ice bath and pressure is applied to all sides of the bottles to kill pathogens and extend shelf life without affecting any of the nutritional value of the raw juice.”
On Delivery Day, this is what I received.

The juices were delivered in an insulated box with ice packs to keep the juices cold. Suja’s branding is beautiful. Their tall slim bottles are very eye-catching with nutrition information and the quantities of each fruit/vegetable. For example, the Fiji says “The juice in this bottle was made with 2 apples, 6 celery stalks, 1/2 of a cucumber, a handful of spinach, 3 collard greens, 3 kale leaves, a squeeze of lemon and a hint of ginger.” Suja offers one 3-day program containing a pre-selected set of six daily juices. Suja juices come with a “menu” indicating the order in which you should drink them. Beyond that, you get to decide how quickly and at what times of day you drink each of them.

Suja offers the following juices:

GLOW: apple, cucumber, celery, mint, kale, spinach, collards
Each day  begins with breakfast which consists of Glow – a green juice. The mint was barely detectable to me (which I consider a good thing). The drink was pleasantly green-tasting, yet with just enough apple to sweeten the deal. It really was surprisingly good!

FUEL: carrot, orange, apple, pineapple, lemon, turmeric
I expected this to be an orange-y carrot juice, but it was more like a carrot-y orange pineapple juice! It was very sweet, thanks to all the fruit it contains, but I enjoyed the sweetness.

PURIFY: carrot, apple, celery, cucumber, beet, lemon
This blood-building juice is very, well, beet-y flavored. If you like beets, you will love this juice.

FIJI: Fuji apple, cucumber, celery, kale, spinach, collards, lemon, ginger
This was the sweetest of the green juices, but I didn’t find it too sweet—it was just right. The lemon/ginger/Fuji apple flavor combination was delicious. This is definitely one of my top three favorites!

GREEN SUPREME: apple, kale, lemon
This green juice is definitely the one I thought I would like the least.…yet it was surprisingly sweet. It took me a few sips to get used to the veggie/fruit mix, but I quickly came to savor the delicious taste of the fruity apple, bitter kale and zingy lemon combo.

VANILLA CLOUD: coconut, almond, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla
I just knew this drink would be love at first sip, and it was! I’d seen the ingredient listing for it on their site and read the rave reviews , so I knew this one would be good, and I’m happy to report that it’s everything it’s cracked up to be AND MORE.  The flavor of the honey along with the vanilla and cinnamon resulted in a delicious drink that I looked forward to having at the end of the day.

Suja Organic Juices left me feeling fresh and rejuvenated! I am so thankful I had the opportunity to try these amazing drinks! You can find Suja Organic Juices at Whole Foods. I have been stocking up and drinking my Green Supreme for breakfast everyday. I am seriously hooked!
