De Stress

 
Stress is one of the highest causes of heart disease, relationship failure, overspending, over eating, and just plain, pure exhaustion. I’m sure you want less stress! So, let’s start today by balancing everything in your life.

Let me share with you a few ways to find balance. Meditation is saving me; so let it save you too. It is calming me, clearing some of the negative voices, allowing me to be in the present and feeling more balanced within myself. To be honest, it’s also stopping me from drinking as much. I used to use alcohol to get calm. Having two glasses of wine would help me wind down from the long day. Now, I just put on some really tranquil music, close my eyes, let go and meditate. It’s making me feel so much more peaceful. Meditation doesn’t give me the extra calories or hangovers that I would get from alcohol. And to tell you the truth, I’m saving a lot of money too.

Exercise is a way to release endorphins, clear your mind, rid yourself of negativity and feel good. Exercise can be used in all forms. As funny as it may sound, sex is a great way to exercise. Sexual pleasure with someone you love is not only enjoyable, but it burns calories.

The other benefits are physical/spiritual communication while opening your energy and de-stressing your body and mind. If you have no time to get to the gym and you have a wonderful partner right there by your side, now’s the time to jump in and do as Nike says: “Just Do It!”

Another way to de-stress is to take simple, healthy, daily actions: eat a proper breakfast, snack two times a day, eat a healthy lunch and dinner, get 8 hours of sleep, make some downtime for yourself, get outside to enjoy nature and call a friend for a good laugh. These are some simple and easy ways to have some balance and fun in your life and to keep you de-stressed.

By learning to meditate, exercise, eat well and make time for fun, I have found that I am so much happier in my day-to-day life. I feel more relaxed and my smile is coming from inside. By just doing these simple things, I feel more balanced and clearer about my life. I feel more alive, freer and just happier. Isn’t it time you de-stressed and felt great too?
