You might think that you grab a pint of ice cream when you’re stressed out because you love it, but a recent study found that it’s more about what you’re used to eating. Fifty-nine MBA students in the middle of midterms (stressful!) were offered a snack from a wide range of both healthy and unhealthy options, and also asked to rate how often they ate the snack they’d chosen. Lo and behold, people tended to choose whichever snack they were in the habit of eating.
