Its Time To Lose Weight

 
Everybody wants to lose that extra five to ten pounds. It’s getting close to bathing suit season and we all want to look trimmer and thinner. Losing weight can actually be fun. Find something that you like to do.

Whether it’s riding a bike, going for a walk, meeting a friend in the park for a stroll, dancing in your own apartment, jumping rope, or canoeing. Find what you like to do, by going inside yourself. Find ways to make exercise fun for you and keep your body moving.

Cooking is healthier than eating out at restaurants and fast food places. It’s actually cheaper too. You know what ingredients are going into your belly. So share and cook up veggies with your partner and/or friends, throw on some music, tell stories of your childhood and you can even add sensual/sexual pleasure to it. For example, take some honey and put it on an area of your partner’s body and lick it off. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

People choke and scarf down their food. They don’t even realize what they are eating. When you start enjoying the taste of an apple and it’s crunchy and thirst quenching, it starts to become fun. You eat slower, you’re enjoying what you’re eating and making time for that food.

Just yesterday I enjoyed two slices of the most delicious pizza. I made the pizza myself with healthy and all natural ingredients: very little cheese, lots of fresh tomatoes, fresh basil and fresh garlic. The bread was wholegrain with flaxseed. It was tasty yet HEALTHY. I savored each bite and it was fun to make.

Here are some easy steps to follow:
  1. Clean out all of the stuff that you have in your cabinets that is processed, filled with refined sugars, excessive fat, etc…
  2. Create a calendar for yourself each day of what you are eating.
  3. Start your day with a glass of hot water and lemon.
  4. Drink two glasses of water before each meal.
  5. Eat a healthy balanced breakfast.
  6. Meditate on positive affirmations (ex: I am beginning to lose weight…I am starting the process of losing weight…etc…)
  7. Do a form of physical exercise
  8. Eat a small snack (almonds, walnuts, an apple, some carrots)
  9. Stay away from sodas (diet or regular)
  10. Eat a healthy lunch
  11. Take a walk outside
  12. Have an afternoon snack (yogurt, hummus and celery, apple, etc…)
  13. Eat a small, balanced dinner
  14. Have a cup of hot, herbal tea
  15. Make love to your partner
  16. Be grateful that you started the process of losing weight
 Keep this up for the next two weeks and you will lose 5 to 10 pounds. You will see a shift in your energy, your spirit and your clothes will fit better. This will make you FEEL great! Losing weight can be really fun. Now share with us how much you lose (have lost). Can’t wait to hear!
