Daily Aha w/ Dr. Oz

Women who are more in touch with what’s happening in their bodies have healthier body images.
In a recent study in the UK, researchers asked young women to literally listen to their bodies by concentrating hard and counting their heartbeats. The women who were best at detecting their pulses were the least likely to objectify their own bodies. Seeing your body as an object is linked to body image dissatisfaction and eating disorders. As you check your outfit in the mirror on the way out the door, remind yourself that the body underneath is more than just a thing. It’s you, it’s alive and it’s beautiful.
