A new study reveals that what we imagine seeing can affect what we hear and what we imagine hearing can affect what we see. For example, study participants who imagined a noise as they watched two objects pass each other on a screen experienced the illusion that the objects had collided. Seeing is believing, and it turns out believing is seeing, too.
