Daily Aha! w/ Dr. Oz

Daily Aha!
Doing a physical act that signals completion can make you feel more satisfied about choices you make.
Once we’ve made a decision—a purchase, say, or an order in a restaurant—we often can’t help but revisit the other options we had, which can lead us to feel grumpy about the one we chose. Recent research gives us a way out of this cycle of disappointment: a symbolic act of closure. People who closed their menus before tasting their meals and who put the lid back on a box of chocolates before eating one liked the food more than those who didn’t. The lesson? Instead of focusing on what could have been, enjoy what you have to the fullest!
