PINEAPPLE

A to Z Medicinal Properties of Ingredients - Pineapple

When we think Pineapple the next thought is usually vacation. Who knew these spiny fruits can improve blood circulation and promote heart health? Urban Remedy did!
That's why they made a whole Meal around it. Take a break with the Pineapple Coconut Meal Drink: http://bit.ly/V5Wlgh

... Pineapples offer so much goodness. Here's a peek at what they can do for you:
- Pineapple is an excellent source of vitamin C and manganese (a mineral that is critical to development of strong bones and connective tissue), vitamin B1, vitamin B6, folate, copper and dietary fiber.

- A cup of fresh pineapple will give you nearly 75% of the recommended daily amount of manganese
- Pineapple is also known to discourage blood clot development. A great perk for frequent fliers!

- It's rich in Bromelain and Fibrin. Bromelain is known for being very efficient at breaking down proteins which accounts for its common use as a digestive aid. Fibrin is a protein that is used in the clotting and thickening of blood.

Did you know?
Pineapples are actually not just one fruit but a composite of many flowers whose individual fruitlets fuse together around a central core. Each fruitlet can be identified by an "eye," the rough spiny marking on the pineapple's surface.
