7 Tips for Longevity

7 Tips for Longevity
In today’s world of goal oriented and ambitious people, it is vital to accomplishing our endeavors that our health is strong now and strong years from now. There is much to accomplish in life and living a life of vitality and longevity is essential.

Here are some tips to assist you:

1. Get Moving! A successful long term fitness program should be one of grace, it’s 365 days a year, and optimizes inner health. It should be about self- awareness and mind-body connection. The very best doctor and nutritionist in the world is yourself, only you know what’s right for your body, and only you know how you feel. . Healthy exercise is about doing what feels right for you and your body today. It’s also about gratitude- being grateful for the opportunity to exercise and the ability to physically move your body, and having the energy needed to accomplish it. Working out should be like having a conversation with your body and spirit-it should be personal, intimate, and holy, not boring and painfully repetitive.

2. Cut the Meat! Adopt a plant based nutrition program. Meat and dairy products contribute to high cholesterol levels and leave the body acidic. Energetically speaking, the body was not intended to be a cemetery, meat is dead, it has a vibrational frequency of a whopping zero, which is going to drag you down; mind, body and soul, it’s also taking energy away from you in the amount of extra work your digestive system will have to do to properly digest it. Choose nourishing high vibrational foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables, these are also jam packed with anti-oxidants, nutrients and enzymes. They are also rich is pure water which cleanse the blood and lymph. When we consume clean, raw living foods our vibrational rate increases, impacting all areas of our lives. Pure living foods bring purity and calmness to our minds

3. Reduce your protein intake. Protein cannot be stored in the body like carbohydrates and fats can. Extra protein will just take up space in your stomach until it is expelled. While that extra protein sits around, it is very hard on your kidneys and liver because it is acidic. It takes a lot of energy to convert that extra protein into energy and when it is finally converted into energy, it doesn’t burn clean; it leaves a toxic residue that sits in your intestines, causing a buildup that will only go away with a strict detox regimen. The protein requirement in a healthy adult is simply the amount needed to replace obligatory losses. Basically, they only way to be low on protein is if you just aren’t eating enough calories in general. In fact, the more raw foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, sprouts, etc., you eat, the less protein your body will need to perform at its peak. Our body is an amazing recycling machine, and is able to turn over 100-300 grams of our own protein every day. Consuming 10% of our daily intake from protein is sufficient. The RDA is 0.8 grams per kg of body weight.

4. Meditate. Meditation helps us to escape our thoughts, and the ongoing hamster wheels of the mind, it helps us to understand who we really are, to be aware of how we feel and it teaches us to react intelligently to life’s experiences. It is pivotal in developing self-awareness and a strong mind-body connection. Through this connection we are able to know what is needed to nourish our minds, bodies and spirits.

5. Hydrate. Drink plenty of water between meals and not during meals. Drinking fluids with meals dilutes digestive juices and impairs digestion. Using chlorophyll in your water will alkalinize the body and assists with absorption.

6. Get sufficient sleep. Your body can only heal when you’re asleep. Try to get 8 hours of deep, restorative sleep every night, shut your eyes and awaken the dreamer inside of you.

7. Choose organic products when possible. Studies show that people who eat commercial produce have five times the pesticide levels of those eating organic, studies also show that organic produce has significantly higher levels of nutrients than commercial produce. This goes for skin, body and beauty products as well, if you wouldn’t put it in your mouth, don’t put it on your body. Our skin is our largest organ and everything gets absorbed into it.
