You can exercise your way to better mental health.
We know exercise boosts mental health, but why? A new study of over 7,000 Dutch students suggests it’s two-fold: First, a better body gets you more positive feedback from peers and improved self-image. And second, people who get their exercise by playing team sports get more social interaction and build relationships, which benefit mental health.
You're never too old to learn a sport. Find a group or team in your neighborhood and get playing!
