Daily Aha! w/ Dr. Oz

Daily Aha!
Pop and techno music make you work out harder.

Research indicates that music with a tempo of 125 to 140 beats per minute is ideal for motivation while you exercise. The beat patterns and complexity also influence the energy level of your movements. In a recent study, participants walked while listening to a variety of songs, all with 130 beats per minute. Those who listened to pop and techno, which are simpler, more predictable and highly repetitive, covered more distance with longer, more vigorous strides.
