Mineral Deficiency

Mineral DeficiencySo many people spend thousands of dollars a year on different supplements but most are still really sick. That’s because people are desperate to be healthy and are willing to try anything but they are being sold useless “remedies” rather than being told the truth about what works and what doesn’t.
Vitamins are required for every bodily biochemical process but they cannot function unless minerals are present. Minerals are the key ingredients to a healthy life. Unfortunately, due to our Standard American Diet and the depletion of our soil, and most of us don’t eat nearly enough of fruits and vegetables. And those we do eat are picked well before they are ripe to prevent them from spoiling on our supermarket shelves, which depletes their nutrient content even more. Add in the fact that most people nowadays eat mainly processed foods that lack nutrients like minerals. So it is obvious that we are all in need of minerals. That’s why most people are deficient in at least one or two minerals.
Four of the most common mineral deficiencies are:
  • Chromium - Insufficient amounts of chromium can lead to glucose intolerance or the accumulation of excess sugar in the blood, as well as raised blood lipid levels, which is a risk factor for heart disease.
  • Magnesium - Low magnesium levels in the presence of high calcium levels (via supplementation) can lead to heart attacks.
  • Iron - Low iron levels cause anemia, which leads to tiredness, weakness and headaches, as well as limitations in intellectual performance.
  • Zinc - Men who don’t get enough zinc may be temporarily infertile. Low levels of zinc may also make you lose your appetite, reduce your ability to taste food and weaken your immune system, increasing your risk of infections.
It is extremely important to identify these deficiencies with blood tests in order to help prevent potential disease and help us feel better, healthier and more energetic.
You can get more information in the Blood Test Results Decoded program about how blood tests for mineral deficiencies and other important parameters can help improve your overall health.
