PEP TALK

Get up every morning to step on the scale,
measure your inches, and do everything you can to
avoid gaining weight and you'll be
stuck on an up 10 pounds, down 10 pounds
roller coaster for good.

Trying to "avoid", "get rid of" or
"resist" any kind of food, situation
or condition will never, ever set you
free from it.

Not physically.
Not emotionally.
Not mentally.

You wanna know what WILL set you free?

You're not going to believe me again.

You're going to think it's too
simple and it couldn't possibly be
the thing, but it is THE thing.

It's the ONLY thing.

John Lennon knew it.

Mother Teresa knew it.

Jesus knew it.

Ghandi knew it, too.

It's love, 
Yup.

L. O. V. E. Love.

Here's a POTENT life lesson most
people will never learn:

If you can't love it, you're
going to be stuck with it.

Whether you're talking about your
ex-boyfriend, your old job, or
some grumpy son-of-a-gun that is
cramping your style, if you do not
figure out how to love them, you'll
be stuck with them until the day
you die.

Maybe not physically, but they will
tie your attention up in knots, and
you are about as free as you are able
to control where you put your attention
in life.

If you can't love your body the
way it is, you'll never be able to
change it and you'll never free
yourself from the obsession of
worrying about it.

The only way to really improve your
health and your life, is to get your
attention OFF your food and your body
and your thighs and your blubbery butt
and to get busy with LIFE and LOVE and
the business of living it

You gotta take more walks.

You gotta make more friends.

You gotta wake up in the morning and do
the thing that makes you feel just a bit
more beautiful no matter what.

You've got to spend time with people
who lift you higher.

You've got to read books that make
you believe in the best parts of life
and yourself.

You've got to dance, paint, dream and do!

You've got to figure out what it is
you're here to do for the world
so you have some more noble things to
engage yourself in than the mission of
trying to fit into a skinny pair of jeans!

WHO CARES ABOUT SKINNY JEANS?!

WHO CARES ABOUT THE SIZE OF YOUR THIGHS?!!

How big is your courage?

How wide are your dreams?

How fat is your love for life?

For others?

For yourself, dear monica?

Your life will feel about as
free and empowering as you are able
to put your attention on the things
that inspire, support and lift you
higher.

If that's calories and inches
and pounds of flesh, then call
me a brown-eyed brunette!

There are people out there who want to
hear your voice, see your face and
know your story!

There are trees that need planting.

Hands that need holding.

Dreams that need building.

But they're not going to happen if
you're stuck on a scale worrying
about how much you weigh.

And the miracle of it is that
when you start taking all that
weight off your shoulders...

...when you start to "lighten up"
emotionally, mentally and even "spiritually"...

...the physical weight lightens up, too.

Hey, whadya know?! ;-)


When you get busy making Life happen,
and you get busy making love work,
then there are way more interesting
things to do than fit into a pair of
skinny jeans.

And the truth is that getting busy with
life IS the fastest way to fit into a pair
anyway. So either way, when you put your
attention on life and love, you win.



Dance.

Dream.

Do the things you want to do no
matter what size pants you wear.
