BODY CLEANSING

Body cleansing

Our body has powerful in-built systems and mechanisms to help prevent an accumulation of toxic waste. However, there are times when these mechanisms can become compromised either due to some dysfunction in their operation or due to an overload of toxic material. Unfortunately this scenario has become increasingly likely as our diet has become more processed and our environment more chemical-laden.
A body that is carrying a heavy toxic load will be compromised in its regenerative and healing capabilities. Therefore as part of a healing programme, body cleansing may play an integral part. This is a particularly important consideration for those who: have followed a heavily processed diet; are smokers; have drunk alcohol excessively; have taken recreational drugs or long-term medication; live in a polluted city or have had prolonged exposure to chemicals in other situations.
In order to support body cleansing priorities are to clear and support the main routes of elimination, such as the bowels and kidneys, and optimise function of the main detoxification organ, the liver.
