On your mark, get set, GO!

What requires no equipment, no gym membership, and no special training? Running—one of the best cardiovascular exercises there is—and you can do it almost anywhere!

Many people are intimidated by running due to its high intensity but once you get started and discover the multiple “do your body good” benefits, chances are we won’t be able to slow you down!
  • Brain Power Booster! Running helps you learn and store information better which is great for preventing age-related memory loss and illnesses.
  • Run for health! Run for 30 minutes, five times a week and lower your risk for diabetes and cancer.
  • Number 1! Running lowers blood pressure and strengthens your lungs and bones.
  • Hello Mr. Sandman! Expect better sleep and a boost in energy after just a few runs!
  • Destress: Controlling your breath and staying calm will center your mind and body; it’s like an amped up version of yoga.
If you’re new to running, be the tortoise, not the hare. Remember to start out slow and pace yourself. Alternate between walking and running every 5 minutes for 30 minutes until you can work up to 20 minutes of running.
