Coffee Scrub for Cellulite

coffee cellulite   I love everything about coffee.
The taste, the smell and, mainly, the swift kick in the ass it delivers. Yes, I have been known to brew and drink up to eight cups of java a day. Don’t judge.
Just like many other things that humans consume, coffee has been said to provide great health benefits, but it’s also been blamed for causing all kinds of bad shit that will kill you. A growing body of research shows that having a cup of coffee lowers your chances for developing certain cancers, dementia, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, etc. But wait – it may actually cause other types of cancers, as well as gastrointestinal problems, changes in blood pressure – even glaucoma?
While we’re just as confused as you are about our caffeine addictions, there’s one thing we know for sure: coffee can work wonders on cellulite. Repeat: coffee can help erase your cottage cheese thighs. Can I get a hell yes?
That’s what I thought.
The reason is that coffee (with caffeine) has the effect of dilating blood vessels, which tones and tightens tissue. In addition, toxin build-up, one of the most common reasons for cellulite, is released because of the antioxidants and stimulation that coffee delivers. According to Dr. Oz, the caffeine in coffee grounds enhances fat metabolism, and, when applied the skin, it helps to absorb and remove liquid. Translation? Your lumps and bumps are noticeably less visible. Sure, it’s not going to get you the same effects as Kim Kardashian’s butt-suck procedure, but it rules before a day at the beach or sexy romp with your dude.
Best part? You most likely have all the ingredients already in your kitchen.

DIY Coffee Scrub

What You Need
A medium tight-sealing jar
½ cup of ground coffee (unused)
¼ cup of sea OR epsom salt
¼ white OR brown sugar
¼ of either almond oil OR olive oil
How to Make It
First mix together all dry ingredients, then pour the oil on top and mix well. Store in the jar in a cool dark place for up to a year.
You can use this scrub twice a week in the shower. Slather on to any parts of your body that need extra help with cellulite and scrub in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water. This scrub not only has the benefits of the coffee, but you also get the exfoliation from the salt and sugar and the moisturizing from the oil.
Bring it on, bikini season.
